転職してから半年が経過しました。旅行好きな私がこの前海外に出掛けたのは去年の7月上旬。そろそろ旅に出たくなる頃です。 昨年のアニメイベント(アニメエキスポ2002)に参加してその魅力に魅せられてしまった私は今回もイベントに参加することに。早速、インターネットで検索 してみました。そして見つけたのがアニメオアシス！でもアイダホ州ボイスってどこでしょう？聞いたこともない地名です。アイダホ州はジャガイモの産地？ いつもお世話になっている小さな旅行会社に航空券の手配を頼むと担当の社長さんが一言。"ここ、航空運賃高いですよ！""それじゃ近場で安く行けるとこはないですか？" "ソルトレイクシティはどう？そこからボイスまで車で5,6時間で行けますよ。"今回は同行者も車の運転希望だったので結局この旅程で手配することになりました。 さて3月21日金曜日、空港へ行く前に美容院によったりちょっとした買い物をしたりしているうちに時間を忘れてしまった私が関西空港に着いたのは出発の40分 前！搭乗手続きは終了していて結局搭乗口で荷物を預ける羽目に。最近こういうの多いなあ。反省しなければ。サンフランシスコに定刻の40分前に到着。ここで 一つ早いソルトレイクシティ行きに搭乗できないか交渉しました。で結果はOK!ほんの少し余裕ができてちょっぴり嬉しい陽子ちゃんでした。 ソルトレークシティでは市内観光！夜は演奏会。ところがここで同行者のM君が一泊宿泊費を浮かそうよって提案してきました。彼の懐具合を知っている私は ちょっと嫌な顔はしましたけど同意することに。そして深夜のドライブが始まりました。ボイスまでは遠かった！ 少し仮眠を取った後、ボイスに着いた のは午前8時。でもホテルのチェックインは正午から。という訳でボイス観光に出発。でもあまりみるとこないんですよね。ホテルにチェックインした後は 疲れを取る為に仮眠。コスプレ衣装に着替えて(今回は紫亜ちゃん)会場へ。そこで"紫亜、キュート"って声がしました。声を掛けてくれた女の子の名前は リンジー。友人のジェスと一緒に参加していた彼女が唯一ぴたテンを知っていました。でイベントの間、主に彼女達と行動を共にすることに。その日は コスプレイヤーさんの写真を撮影したりダンスパーティに参加したりと夜中まで遊んじゃいました。 翌日は午前9時ごろ起床。コスプレ衣装(美紗の制服)に着替えて会場へ。でもレイヤーさんの数が少ないことに気付きました。基本的にホテルで着替える海外 のイベントでは最終日は気が抜けた感じになるそうです。でもゲームとかおしゃべりとかして時間を過ごすことに。そして午後2時前。リンジー達にさよなら を伝えてソルトレイクへと向かいました。(美紗の格好ですよ。)途中、景色の良いとこで記念撮影。周りからかなり注目を浴びましたけど。 　そして翌日サンフランシスコ経由で帰国しました。ある意味、短いけどとっても充実した旅行でした。

It had been 6 months passed since I got new job. Last trip to go oveaseas was last July to Los Angeles!(July 2002) Now it might be good timing to go somewhere. Last year, I had an experience to join "Anime Expo",and become a mania of anime convention. So, I was searching an information of anime convention which I would like to join,and got "anime oasis 2003" in Boise,Idaho!But where is Boise? I had never heard such name of city! Was Idaho state famous for Idaho potato? I asked a president of small travel agency to arrange my schedule. He said that air fare from Osaka to Boise was expensive,because Boise was minor destination. I asked him to find cheaper way to go to Boise. Finally,he suggested me to go to Salt Lake City and go to Boise by a car.300 miles drive! It would take 5 or 6 hours.This trip,my travel partner Makio was mad to drive in United States,so I accepted this plan. On 21st March, I was hurry to go to airport because I spent too much time for shopping and making my hair style at beauty salon. I arrived at Kansai airport 40 minutes prior to departure. Check in counter had already closed,so I had to bring all my luggages to gate area. I sometimes had these pattern. I had to reconsider my schedule again. I arrived at San Francisco 40 minutes prior to schedule. So I tried to change earlier flight,and I got it! That meaned I got extra hours at destination. I went to sightseeing in Solt Lake City,and saw performing arts at night.After the recital,Makio asked me not to stay at hotel for saving his money. I was very tired,and wanted to have a bed. But I understood he was short on cash,so I agreed if he could drive himself. And driving in midnight to Boise was started!Boise was very far from Salt Lake City!After I was taking several naps,I reached final destination,Boise,Idaho at 09:00!But I had few hours to check in!Room was not available in that time. I spent to see some interesting places in Boise. After I left our luggages in my room,I changed my costume(Shia from Pita-ten)and went to convention room. I heard a female voise. A girl said that Shia-chan was cute! Her name was Lynzie,who came to Boise with her friend Jess.She was a peson who only recognized my costume. I joined her until I left Boise on Sunday. And after that I spent a wonderful time there! Next day,I wore other costume(Misha's uniform from Pita-ten) to convention room. At third day,final day of convention,I couldn't see cosplayers compared with Saturday,because many of them had to check out their room. They were let down on Sunday.But I had a good time to play games and chat with Lynzie and other cosplayers. At 14:00,I said good-by to Anime Oasis and drove back to Salt Lake City,with my costume on. I was outstanding a lot(pink wig with rabbits and sailor one piece),but I didn't care about it. I was looking for a nice place to take a photo for my home page.And next day, I went back to Osaka,Japan,via San Fransisico. It was a short trip,but I really enjoyed it.
